About me

Al Kingsley

I’ve been involved in School governance for the last 15 years.  In that time I have been Chair of Governors of an LA Secondary school, undertaken a MAT conversion, bid successfully and been involved in the building of two new free schools ( third hopefully on the way) and produced the trusts 5 years strategic plan.

I am currently chair of a MAT as both a Trustee and Member, chair the local Governor Al KingsleyLeadership group for the city, and have sat for the last 7 years on the Local Authority Scrutiny committee for Children and Education.

I also sit on the Regional Schools Commissioners Head Teacher’s board for the East of England and North London and another strand, i currently chair the county SEND board to help deliver improvements across the service. As always in education, i’m constantly learning from others and do my best to share and support those who ask.

When not wearing my education hat, i have spent the last 25 years working in the software sector developing tools to support School IT management, Safeguarding and supporting teaching and learning.
